Why Vinyl Fencing is Your Best Option?

Vinyl fencing is a strong, low maintenance alternative to traditional wood fencing and offers multiple advantages that cannot be overlooked. Although it is relatively new in American market, vinyl fences have proved to be a good choice for homeowners across US, and particularly in Los Angeles and all of California. It is a cost-effective fencing option especially in the long run.

Installing Vinyl Fences

It may seem that such a strong, permanent and durable fence would require lots of effort and time to install, but that's not really true. Installing vinyl fencing requires professionalism and experience in order to serve you for a many years to come. That's most of LA homeowners have their fences installed by trusted vinyl fence companies. But if installed properly you will enjoy the beautiful look and feel of your outdoor vinyl fence for quite a long time.

But before anything else you need to clarify a few things, like

  • Local codes for frontage locations, property lines, fence heights and permit requirements.
  • Check with local utility companies to make sure the fence won't damage any underground pipelines, power lines or cables.
Most of vinyl fence companies would help you with this type of consulting as well.

Vinyl Fencing in 6 Easy Steps

1. Prepare fence layout

The first thing you need to do is to outline your property with the help of strings and sticks. This way you will understand the actual layout and mark corners and end points of the fencing.

2. Install end and corner posts

Dig the holes for end and corner posts first􀀒 , usually 10'' in diameter and 30'' deep. When the holes are ready insert the posts into the holes and set them in concrete. Plumb and level the posts and with the help of a stakes mark the spots for line posts.

3. Set vinyl fencing line posts and rails

Now you need to dig holes for each line post and install them just as described above. Then you start installing the bottom rails.

4. Fill the inside of end and corner posts with rebar and concrete.

5. Install the pickets

Starting on one end start installing the pickets one by one, interlocking the tongues and grooves.

6.  Install post caps

Apply PVC glue on the inside of the cap and place it on the vinyl fencing posts.

See? The process of vinyl fence installation is that simple. However, if you wish to have a professional and experienced vinyl fencing contractor to handle your outdoor fencing project, contact us for a FREE estimate and consulting.
